Responsibilities

Summary of Job Profile:

The Senior Network Security Solution Architect is responsible for designing, architecting, and leading the implementation of enterprise-level network security solutions. This role provides strategic technical leadership across complex environments, ensuring scalable, secure, and resilient architectures aligned with business objectives and industry best practices. The position requires deep expertise in multi-vendor security platforms including Fortinet, Juniper, and Cisco technologies.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Design end-to-end network security architectures including firewall strategy, segmentation, Zero Trust frameworks, secure WAN, cloud security integration, and data center security.
• Lead the development of High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), technical proposals, and solution documentation for enterprise clients.
• Provide technical leadership during pre-sales and post-sales engagements, including solution presentations, client workshops, and technical validations (POCs).
• Architect and oversee deployment of advanced security solutions including Fortinet (FortiGate ecosystem), Juniper SRX, and Cisco Firepower (FTD/FMC).
• Ensure solutions align with security standards, compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS), and organizational governance policies.
• Perform security risk assessments, gap analysis, and recommend strategic improvements to enhance security posture.
• Mentor and guide Network Security Engineers and Senior Engineers on best practices and advanced troubleshooting.
• Engage with vendor technical teams (Fortinet, Juniper, Cisco TAC) for complex escalations and architectural guidance.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSA’s) required to successfully perform the job:

Knowledge:

• Deep understanding of enterprise network security architecture, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, Zero Trust, and SD-WAN security.
• Familiarity with multi-vendor platforms: Fortinet (FortiGate ecosystem), Juniper SRX, and Cisco Firepower (FTD/FMC).
• Strong understanding of routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, MPLS) and secure integration in complex networks.
• Awareness of security frameworks and compliance standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and PCI-DSS.

 Skills:

• Expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise network security solutions.
• Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for multi-vendor and multi-site environments.
• Strong documentation and solution design skills, including HLD, LLD, and technical proposals.
• Ability to lead pre-sales and post-sales technical engagements, including POCs and client workshops.

Abilities:

• Effectively mentor and guide engineering teams on best practices and advanced security solutions.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to senior stakeholders and clients.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Make strategic decisions to improve security posture, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance

Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification required for the position: 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 8–10 years of progressive experience in Network Security, with at least 3–5 years in architecture or solution design roles.
• Preferred certifications: NSE 7/8 (Fortinet), JNCIP-SEC/JNCIE-SEC, CCNP Security/CCIE Security, CISSP (preferred).
