Responsibilities

Summary of Job Profile: 
A Network Engineer ITSM Intern assists with troubleshooting, deploying, and maintaining ITSM and network management solutions, supporting technical teams in daily operations, documentation, and reporting. The role offers hands-on experience with real-world IT systems, involvement in knowledge base and dashboard projects, and opportunities to contribute to process improvements and customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

   Assist in troubleshooting hardware and software issues on end clients/customers. 

   Provide technical support and escalate issues when necessary. 

   Help deploy, configure, and maintain ITSM software and NMS solution (SolarWinds/ManageEngine/HaloITSM/Quest). 

   Support network and system administration tasks under supervision.

   Document technical issues and resolutions for internal knowledge base.

   Maintain inventory of IT equipment and assist with audits.

   Collaborate with the IT team on daily tasks and ongoing projects.

•   Engage in Proof of Concepts as per the customer requirements/need.

Requirements

Knowledge

     Understanding of network infrastructure, protocols (TCP/IP, SNMP, ICMP), and hardware
     Familiarity with ITSM and NMS platforms (e.g., SolarWinds, ManageEngine, HaloITSM, Quest)
     Basic concepts of network security and troubleshooting methodologies
     Awareness of IT inventory management and audit processes

Skills: 

   Technical troubleshooting of hardware/software issues
   Deploying, configuring, and maintaining ITSM/NMS solutions
   Clear technical documentation and reporting
   Effective communication and teamwork
   Time management and multitasking

Abilities

   Diagnose and escalate technical issues appropriately 
   Adapt to new technologies and tools quickly
   Work independently under supervision and collaboratively in teams. 
•   Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in documentation and inventory

Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification required for the position: 
   Currently enrolled or completed Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
