Summary of Job
As a Pre-Sales
Senior Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving technical sales
success by providing advanced technical expertise and leadership throughout the
sales cycle. You will collaborate closely with sales leadership and
cross-functional teams to architect sophisticated solutions that address
complex customer challenges. Your role includes mentoring junior engineers,
leading technical engagements, and influencing product strategy through
customer insights. You will act as a trusted technical advisor to clients and
internal stakeholders, ensuring delivery of high-value, scalable, and
innovative system integration solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Lead
Collaboration with Sales Leadership: Partner with senior sales representatives and account
managers to deeply understand strategic customer needs and identify high-impact
system integration opportunities.
· Advanced
Technical Assessments: Conduct comprehensive technical
evaluations and architecture design sessions for complex client environments,
ensuring scalable and future-proof solutions.
· Solution
Architecture & Customization: Lead
the design and configuration of tailored, multi-component solutions addressing
intricate client requirements, including integration with emerging
technologies.
· Technical
Leadership in Presentations: Develop
and deliver high-level technical presentations, demos, and proposals that
clearly articulate the business and technical value of solutions to executive
stakeholders.
· Mentorship
& Team Enablement: Provide
guidance and mentorship to junior pre-sales engineers, fostering skill
development and knowledge sharing within the team.
· Pre-Sales
Strategy & Support: Drive proof-of-concept (PoC)
initiatives, pilot projects, and technical workshops; proactively address
complex technical inquiries and challenges during the sales process.
· Market
& Technology Leadership: Maintain
expert-level awareness of evolving system integration technologies, cloud
services, security trends, and competitive landscape to inform solution
innovation.
· Cross-Functional
Feedback Loop: Collaborate with product
management, engineering, and R&D teams by delivering actionable customer
feedback and influencing product roadmap and enhancements.
· Risk & Compliance
Advisory: Advise
on technical risks, compliance requirements, and best practices to ensure
solutions meet regulatory and security standards.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSA’s) required to
successfully perform the job:
· Expertise in System Integration: Mastery of system integration principles,
methodologies, and best practices across diverse IT environments.

Comprehensive IT Infrastructure Knowledge: Deep understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud
architectures (public/private/hybrid), and software-defined solutions.
· Emerging Technology Insight: Proficient in
evaluating and applying emerging technologies such as AI/ML, IoT, cybersecurity
frameworks, and automation tools.
· Advanced Communication & Influencing: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts
clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences,
including C-level executives.

Strategic Analytical Thinking: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to architect
innovative solutions that align with business goals.

Documentation & Tools: Expertise
in creating detailed technical documentation, solution blueprints, and
utilizing advanced tools for presentations and demos.
Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification
required for the position:

Bachelor’s
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information
Systems, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in technical pre-sales, solutions
engineering, or related roles with a focus on complex enterprise solutions.

Demonstrated
success in leading product demos, PoCs, technical workshops, and supporting
large-scale sales initiatives.

Extensive
experience working with enterprise customers, understanding complex business
and technical requirements.

Prior
experience in system integration architecture, product customization, and
solution design leadership is highly desirable.
- Relevant certifications
such as CISSP, AWS/Azure Architect, PMP, or vendor-specific system integration
certifications are a strong plus.
