Responsibilities

Summary of Job Profile:

The Resident Engineer will be responsible for supporting PLRA in the following areas: incident handling and management, patch management (via SCCM), CIS hardening, vulnerability management and penetration testing program, and follow-ups on cybersecurity assessments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

·       Running PLRA’s patch management program, vulnerability management program, and performing patching on servers, workstations, and desktops.

·       Performing CIS scans and maintaining CIS CAT servers.

·       Create CIS benchmarks reporting.

·       Perform hardening activities to mitigate security gaps identified during different security activities.

·       Identify vulnerabilities and perform remediation's as and when required.

·       Maintain vulnerability scanning tools and create scan reports

·       Modifying GPOs and other configurations to perform hardening and vulnerability remediation's.

·       Implementing security controls and recommendations as per security assessment and penetration testing reports.

·       Troubleshoot and resolve issues with users & open tickets with principals if required.

·       Reverting a patch impacting operations.

·       Change of policies that are impacting any business operations  , Incident Handling as per instructions from the SOC Team. 

·       Tasks assigned by the PLRA Team.


Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSA’s) required to successfully perform the job:

1.       Incident handling and management

2.       Patch management using SCCM

3.       CIS (Center for Internet Security) hardening

4.       Vulnerability Management

       5.       Penetration Testing 

Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification required for the position:

·       BS in (Computer Science/ Software Engineering/Information Security/Cyber Security)

·       4 years of Experience Required

·       No certification required
