Responsibilities

Summary of Job Profile:

Lead and manage the Cybersecurity Business Unit (CSBU) with full P&L responsibility. The role integrates technical excellence with commercial success, driving cybersecurity strategy, sales, operations, project delivery, revenue growth, profitability, and client satisfaction, while building and leading high-performing teams and managing key stakeholder relationships.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Business Leadership & P&L Ownership

  • Own end-to-end cybersecurity business operations, balancing technical delivery with commercial objectives.
  • Take full responsibility for the Profit & Loss (P&L) of the Cybersecurity Business Unit, ensuring revenue growth, margin improvement, and profitability.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, pricing, and cost control to optimize business outcomes.
  • Monitor key business metrics (pipeline, win rates, utilization, margins, collections) and take corrective actions as needed.

2. Sales, Strategy & Market Growth

  • Develop and execute a cybersecurity business strategy aligned with market demand, company goals, and OEM/distributor roadmaps.
  • Drive new business acquisition and account expansion in existing customers.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Account Management to identify opportunities, qualify requirements, and prepare winning proposals.
  • Lead solution positioning, pricing strategy, and commercial negotiations for key deals.
  • Oversee client engagements, proposals, and contract negotiations to support revenue growth and long-term relationships.
  • Manage OEM and distributor engagements, including deal registration, pricing, incentives, and joint go-to-market plans.

3. Delivery, Operations & Client Satisfaction

  • Ensure delivery of high-quality cybersecurity solutions and services to clients on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Oversee project and service delivery governance, including scope, timelines, resources, risks, and client communication.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors, partners, and customers to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Work cohesively with Central Account Management, Strategy/Partnerships, PMO, and Operations for solution alignment and customer strategy.

4. Team Building & Leadership

  • Build and structure cybersecurity teams (SOC, projects, presales, advisory, operations) in close consultation with HR.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage technical and commercial staff, setting clear goals, KPIs, and development plans.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

5. Innovation & Intellectual Property (IP) Development

  • Lead the innovation agenda for the Cybersecurity unit by identifying market gaps and creating opportunities for in-house product accelerators, automation tools, dashboards, and proprietary methodologies.
  • Champion the development of Arwen’s own intellectual property (IP) by building repeatable, scalable offerings such as:
    • Security automation scripts and playbooks
    • SOC frameworks and managed service packages
    • Niche security tools and packaged advisory services
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI-driven security analytics, workflow automation, and smart dashboards into current and future MSSP/SOC offerings.
  • Establish an innovation-driven culture within the Cyber team, promoting experimentation, POCs, and continuous enhancement of internal tools and customer-facing solutions.
  • Engage with external National Incubation Centers (NICs) and relevant innovation ecosystems (through internal teams or direct collaboration) to accelerate development of innovative cybersecurity solutions and proprietary IP.

6. Market Intelligence & Thought Leadership

  • Monitor cybersecurity market trends, emerging threats, and regulatory changes to advise leadership and clients.
  • Drive innovation in cybersecurity offerings and operational efficiencies to maintain competitive advantage.
  • Represent Arwen Tech in key industry forums, customer workshops, and partner events as needed.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSA’s) required to successfully perform the job:

  • Deep understanding of end-to-end cybersecurity domains and practices, including Identity & Access Management, Detection & Response (EDR/XDR/NDR), Application Security, Network Security, Data Security & Compliance, Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), Cloud Security, and Security Operations (SOC, SIEM, SOAR). Strong grasp of professional services such as SOC maturity & transformation assessments, VAPT, configuration hardening, Audit assessment and Testing, and security architecture reviews and ZeroTrust.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR).
  • Strong commercial acumen including contract management, budgeting, and pricing strategies.
  • Awareness of cybersecurity threat landscape and risk management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of business development and sales processes related to cybersecurity services.
  • Leadership and team management to drive performance and collaboration.
  • Strategic thinking to align technical capabilities with business goals.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Negotiation and client relationship management expertise.
  • Project and program management skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to lead multi-disciplinary cybersecurity teams (SOC, projects, presales, advisory), define service portfolios, strengthen OEM partnerships, drive P&L performance, ensure delivery excellence, and develop long-term cybersecurity strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable cybersecurity solutions.
  • Balance technical innovation with commercial viability.
  • Build and sustain productive client and partner relationships.
  • Navigate complex cybersecurity challenges and regulatory environments.
  • Adapt to changing technologies and market conditions.
  • Influence senior stakeholders and drive business growth.

 Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification required for the position:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field is required.
  • A Master’s degree or MBA with focus on cybersecurity or business management is preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are highly desirable. 
  • Minimum of 10-15 years’ experience in cybersecurity, including at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.

Broad Cybersecurity Domain Understanding: Broad understanding of enterprise cybersecurity domains and solution areas, including NGFW, EDR/XDR/NDR, SIEM/SOAR, IAM/PAM/SSO, ZTNA, DLP, Data Security, Vulnerability Management, GRC, Cloud Security, API Security, Database Security, and Threat Monitoring. Ability to understand customer requirements, identify relevant solution areas, and engage appropriate technical specialists where required.

  4. Cybersecurity Architecture Awareness: Good understanding of enterprise, hybrid, and cloud security architectures, key security controls, integration considerations, and industry best practices. Hands-on implementation expertise is desirable but not essential.
  5. Security Operations & Risk Understanding: Sound understanding of SOC operations, incident response, threat detection, vulnerability management, risk assessment, security monitoring, automation, and orchestration, sufficient to engage customers and guide internal teams.
  6. Technology & Market Awareness: Awareness of evolving cybersecurity technologies, threat landscapes, regulatory requirements, AI-driven security developments, emerging solutions, and industry trends, with the ability to identify their relevance to customers and business opportunities.
  7. OEM & Technology Ecosystem Management: Ability to effectively engage and manage cybersecurity OEMs, distributors, technology partners, and alliances, including solution positioning, enablement, certifications, joint business development, and go-to-market initiatives.
  8.   Customer-Facing Technical Credibility: Ability to confidently engage with CISOs, CIOs, IT/Security leadership, and customer technical teams; lead high-level solution discussions and presentations; understand technical concerns; and involve specialized technical resources where deeper expertise is required.
